Getting started

Type anywhere. A click, your own sound file, or a piano — with a real FX rack.

After install

Live in the tray

  • Tray control Single-click mutes. Double-click opens the window. Right-click for the menu.
  • First launch May take a few seconds while factory piano samples are written under AppData.
  • Admin windows Sounds will not play in elevated (Administrator) windows — by Windows design.

Sounds

Profiles, packs, instruments

  • Profiles Pick a pack and a room (Dry, Reverb, Bass, Surround). Save when you like the mix.
  • My sound Drop files in the My sounds folder (Packs), then choose My sound on Profiles and pick a Sound file.
  • Piano Instruments → Start. Closing the map does not stop piano; Stop does.

Data

Where files live

Settings and packs: %AppData%\KeyFXBoard. Program updates replace files under %LocalAppData%\KeyFXBoard; your profiles stay.
